Your organization’s e-mail passes through a multi-step process of review and analysis before arriving at your mail server for final delivery. By using a combination of multi-vendor virus solutions and proprietary techniques, the QED E-Mail Filter provides total control.
The E-Mail Filter examines every aspect of each e-mail received, including: header information, composition, message body content, attachment name and true file type, attachment contents, message size and images. The E-Mail Filter then compares the e-mail in real time against a database of over 30 million digitally fingerprinted threats, signatures, various white and black lists, directories, key words, threat categories, url’s, images etc.
Once analyzed and compared, the E-Mail Filter takes the appropriate action e.g. block, quarantine, remove, log, report, cleanse, pass through to the intended recipient. The actions/policy that govern the E-Mail Filter are determined by our customers via an easy ot use online control center.
Q5. What control do I get with the service?
The Online E-Mail Filter Control Center provides access to a comprehensive suite of executive summary reports, as well as detailed breakdown of threats blocked, categorized by type. The administrator can easily see the overall effectiveness of the system, quickly monitor outbreaks and identify threat patterns.
The Control Center allows the administrator to locate any message within the system and determine its status. Using a simple query, a set of messages matching the criteria is located. The administrator can then select the exact message for details regarding when it was received, actions taken, policies applied and final resolution of the message.
Using the Control Center, the administrator can modify policies or create new policies to address specific needs of the organization. Rules can be created to filter specific content, enforce corporate compliance requirements or create exceptions for individual users or groups.
