Kaspersky® Anti-Virus 5.5 for Check PointT FireWall-1®Kaspersky® Anti-Virus for Microsoft ISA Server 2004 Enterprise Edition

Kaspersky® Anti-Virus for Microsoft ISA Server 2004 Enterprise Edition is a tightly integrated solution that protects all incoming HTTP and FTP traffic on the local network.

Features

Integrated protection from viruses and malicious code

The program detects and blocks all types of malicious programs from incoming HTTP and FTP traffic on the Microsoft ISA Server. Furthermore, the solution offers support for antivirus scanning in over 1,800 formats for archived and compressed files.

Identification of potentially dangerous programs.
Using the extended collection of antivirus databases, the solution provides protection not only from viruses, but also from potentially hostile programs. Such programs may, for example, launch unwanted advertising, collect data from the computer, covertly dial paid numbers, spy on and even remotely administer the computer.

Advanced technologies.
Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Microsoft ISA Server 2004 Standard Edition combines the most advanced technologies to protect computers from viruses and malicious code. Indeed, results from independent tests confirm that the Kaspersky Anti-Virus Engine provides one of the highest detection rates for malicious programs.

Advanced technologies.
Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Microsoft ISA Server 2004 Enterprise Edition provides the highest quality of protection for Microsoft ISA servers working in the Array Member mode. Saving antivirus settings in the ISA configuration server minimizes the workload for administrators, making it possible to manage all servers as a single entity. The program provides centralized configuration of protection for all servers in the array, as well as centralized updates to the antivirus databases.

Additional scanning parameters

The administrator can configure the scanning parameters that best suit the demands of the organization.

Creating lists of servers.
It is possible to compile a list of trusted servers, so that data from these servers will not be scanned.

Excluding objects from scanning.
Certain types of objects can be excluded from antivirus scanning (such as graphic files, for example) to reduce server load.

Creating user groups.
The solution allows administrators to create user groups with individual scanning rules.

Optimized performance

Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Microsoft ISA Server 2004 Standard Edition is a completely scalable application that offers the high performance necessary to cope with servers carrying heavy loads.

Launch multiple copies of the antivirus engine.
Multiple copies of the antivirus engine can be launched simultaneously. It is also possible to create reserve copies of the antivirus engine for scanning fast objects -- e.g., text files, graphic files under 2 MB and other types of files under 256 KB.

Optimization technologies streamline the program's operation and greatly reduce the number of scan processes that need to be launched.

Administration

Remote administration.
All parameters for the application can be configured using the Microsoft Management Console, which is installed on the server itself or on a workstation.

Notifications and reporting.
Windows performance reports can be used to monitor Kaspersky Anti-Virus for ISA Server 2004. The Microsoft ISA Server Alerts provide various mechanisms for informing the administrator of critical events in the operation of the antivirus application. All notifications are also recorded in the Windows system log.

Updating databases.
Updates to the antivirus databases and program components can be downloaded to computers automatically or on request, directly from Kaspersky Lab servers or from a local update server. Kaspersky Lab releases updates to its antivirus databases every hour.
